Want your own console brought back to its best? Our professional refurbishment service takes your hardware through the same process we use on every console we sell — full disassembly, deep clean, component inspection, and testing.

What's Included in a Full Refurbishment

  • Full disassembly — every component removed and inspected individually
  • Deep clean — shell, internals, vents, fan, and heat sink cleaned thoroughly
  • Optical drive service — cleaned, adjusted, and tested across multiple disc types
  • Thermal paste replacement — fresh paste applied to CPU and GPU
  • Capacitor check — all capacitors inspected; failed or at-risk ones replaced
  • Fan service — cleaned and tested; replaced if underperforming
  • Controller port test — all ports tested and cleaned
  • Power supply test — output tested under load
  • Full reassembly — correct screws and fixings throughout
  • Final 30-minute burn-in test — run under load to check for thermal and intermittent faults

Optional Add-Ons

  • Shell retrobright — restore yellowed plastic to its original colour
  • Laser replacement — new laser unit fitted for guaranteed disc reading
  • FreeMCBoot installation — homebrew and OPL enabled via memory card
  • HDMI upgrade — HDMI adapter fitted and tested
  • Internal HDD fitting (PS2 Fat) — HDD installed and configured with OPL
  • Capacitor replacement (full recap) — all capacitors replaced as a preventative measure

  5. Payment is taken on completion before return dispatch

Turnaround Time

Standard refurbishments are completed within 7–10 working days. Add-ons or parts orders may extend this — we'll keep you updated throughout.

Refurbishment Guarantee

All refurbishments carry a 90-day guarantee on the work carried out. If a fault related to our refurbishment develops within 90 days, we'll fix it at no charge.
